Fazenda Sertão is rooted in the early history of coffee farming in Carmo de Minas. José Isidro Pereira, born into one of the region’s first coffee families, returned to inherit the farm, which is now run by his wife Nazareth and their family.

Located above 1,000 meters with cool temperatures, the farm’s steep hillside planting helps prevent frost, promote even ripening, and improve overall bean quality.
